History of Coerver Coaching
Coerver Coaching was founded in 1984 by Alf Galustian and former Chelsea great Charlie Cooke, inspired by the philosophy of legendary Dutch coach Wiel Coerver. Together they developed a way of teaching that was unlike anything else available then or now.
Alf and Charlie’s dedication to the game and their experience have shaped Coerver into what it is today: a respected, established and sought-after brand of football coaching that has changed how football is taught and learned by players and coaches around the world.
From the beginning, their mission was simple: to develop skilled, confident, creative players who combine well with team mates and also have the skills to go it alone. That original mission still sits at the heart of Coerver. The curriculum and method keep evolving with the modern game, but stay true to those foundations.
